Sep 08 - Any Questions?

The Royal Alexandra and Albert School became a hotbed of political debate when it hosted BBC Radio 4’s Any Questions? on Friday 26th September. The show was broadcast live from the School’s Performing Arts Centre in front of an audience of over 300 local people and pupils from the School.

The panel, which was chaired by Eddie Mair included Chris Huhne (Liberal Democrat), Chris Bryant (Labour), Chris Grayling (Conservative) and Jeanette Winterson. They answered questions from the audience on topical issues ranging from the current economic crisis to the line of succession for the monarchy.

Headmaster Paul Spencer Ellis said “This event generated real enthusiasm from pupils at the School and they prepared some excellent questions for the panel”.
