Better than the average cake sale

Cake sales are a regular feature at the Royal Alexandra and Albert School. Cakes are always popular and the children love baking them. But the one held by Class 8RA was particularly successful, raising a staggering £471 in one morning.

The whole class pulled out all the stops to make sure there were lots of cakes to sell and the spread was impressive. The sale was organised to raise money for Cancer Research UK. This charity was particularly relevant as cancer has affected the lives of some of the children in the class.

Teacher Rosa Mohammed Ali said “The class worked really hard to bake as many cakes as possible and it is amazing that they have raised so much money from this event. They should be really proud of what they have achieved.”

Representatives from Class 8RA presented a cheque to Laura Senekal from Cancer Research UK in the school assembly on Thursday 13th June.
