Super Heroes and Villains

Literacy has taken centre stage this week in the Junior Department of the Royal Alexandra and Albert School. Pupils have enjoyed a series of exciting, entertaining and educational activities to help them develop their literacy skills.

A highlight for many pupils is fancy dress day. The theme this year is Super Heroes and Villains and there was a good range of imaginative outfits on display as pupils arrived for school.

After break there was a fancy dress parade and the best outfits were awarded prizes.

Literacy Co-ordinator Dionne Bradley said “The aim of Book Week is to focus on literacy in practical and unusual ways. The various activities have captured the imagination of the children and they are engaging really well with the subject. Pupils have been planning their outfits for the last few weeks and the results are amazing.”
