The Little Shepherd

Children in the Junior Department of the Royal Alexandra and Albert School have once again demonstrated that they can put on a good show at Christmas time. The production of ‘The Little Shepherd’ directed by teacher, Dionne Bradley and performed by pupils aged 7 to 11, was a resounding success with the enthusiastic audience of parents, teachers and other pupils.

The story told how David, a shepherd boy desperately wanted to see the baby Jesus. Along the way there are various distractions including a dancing camel and some rebellious sheep but he eventually achieves his goal. Between scenes the Junior Choir kept the story moving with rousing songs and Christmas carols.

Mrs Bradley said “The children have been rehearsing for the last few weeks and really enjoyed seeing it all come together when they performed for their families and friends. I would like to thank everyone who contributed to the production including those who made the scenery, costumes, flowers and music.”
