First Ever Rag Week

Students in the Sixth Form at the Royal Alexandra and Albert School raised over £2,300 for good causes during their first ever RAG week from the 5th to the 9th of March.

Each day there were different activities to raise money for the three charities which had been chosen by the Sixth Form; Royal Marsden, Breast Cancer Care and Help for Heroes. Events included student vs teacher basketball games, a talent show, cake sales and car washes for parents. Students were also sponsored by family and friends to dress up each day to specific themes which were animal day, pyjama day, film, superheroes and backwards day (wearing your clothes in reverse).

Jessica Vincent, President of the Sixth Form Council commented “The week was a huge success and I am really pleased that we raised so much money for our charities. We couldn’t have done it without the support of our teachers and the contributions from the whole of the Sixth Form.”
