Since 1758, our charitable Foundation and its predecessors have been a lifeline for children in need. Our mission is simple but profound: providing a stable home and a holistic education for children facing life’s toughest challenges.
By leaving a gift in your Will, you can help support children with bursaries to attend our school with life changing outcomes.

Did you know?
- You can choose to leave a specific amount in your will to our charity or you could choose to leave a percentage of the total value of your estate. For example, you could leave 1% of the value of your estate, whilst those closest to you inherit the remaining 99%.
- A gift to our Foundation in your Will could reduce your inheritance tax liability. Because charities are tax-exempt, a donation can effectively ‘save’ your estate 40p in every £1 given depending on the value of your estate*.
- You can choose to leave your gift to our charity for ‘General Funds.’ This gives the Trustees the flexibility to direct your generosity to the area of greatest need at that time—whether that is a life-changing bursary or an essential project.
- The only information you need to leave us a legacy is our charity name and registered number: The Royal Alexandra & Albert School (registered charity number 311945)
