Harrison Catering Services is the exclusive provider of dining services at the Royal Alexandra and Albert School. As an independent, privately owned family company, they take pride in their enduring 25-year partnership with the school, managing and delivering top-quality catering.
With a vision to inspire children to explore new tastes and make healthier food choices, Harrison emphasises this influence on their formative years, positively shaping their lifelong habits. Since their establishment in 1994, this award-winning company adopts a distinctive approach, preparing freshly made food on-site daily, prioritising sustainably sourced seasonal ingredients, including British free-range eggs, British-sourced fresh meat and poultry.
The dedicated staff at Harrison significantly contribute to the success of their catering service, placing a strong emphasis on learning and development. The on-site catering team actively participates in training sessions, including the specialised and bespoke Eat Well Live Well© training programme which focuses on preparing and serving healthier food to children.
What’s On The Menu?
Harrison provides daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner services, tailoring menus to accommodate the diverse tastes and preferences of the school’s multicultural student body, with a focus on popular and delectable dishes, the menu aims to inspire flavourful choices.
Creative chefs strategically design and coordinate exciting supplementary culinary events and themed events that align with the school’s curriculum, cultural festivities and celebration dates.This initiative aims to foster engaging and enjoyable dining experiences.
Despite the labour-intensive task of preparing fresh meals for over 1,000 students and staff three times a day, the dedicated catering team of 24, including highly skilled chefs, is committed to creating exciting menus that not only captivate students but also deliver the necessary nutritional value.
