Co-Curriculum
Sports
All students, irrespective of their age or proficiency, are offered a stimulating and enriching experience at our school. Sports form an integral part of our comprehensive educational approach, offering students an avenue for both physical and emotional development that will help them across all facets of their lives. Our regular competitive fixtures against local state and independent schools, held mid-week and in designated blocks on Saturday mornings, help our athletes to compete in their sport.
Nestled within 260 acres of picturesque parkland, Gatton Park provides a beautiful backdrop for the school’s excellent sports facilities and grass pitches. These include seasonal lake-side rugby and cricket pavilions and pitches, an indoor heated swimming pool, Equestrian Centre, floodlit netball courts, an AstroTurf pitch, and a sprint track. We foster a culture of versatility by offering flexible multi-sport pathways, enabling students to explore various disciplines and uncover new talents and passions.
Our school has extensive partnerships with external sporting clubs, offering coaching expertise and networking opportunities for our students. Additionally, our in-house physiotherapist, who is part of our Health Centre team, provides invaluable guidance on rest, recovery and the significance of regular exercise.
We maintain strong affiliations with organisations such as Dorking RFC, Redhill FC, and Reigate Roses Netball Club. For the latest fixture updates, please visit the Royal Alexandra & Albert School Sports Home on schoolssports.com.
