Friends of Royal Alexandra
& Albert School
(Previously the PTA)
The aim of the Friends of RAAS is
to raise funds for the school to purchase items
that will be of benefit to the pupils across the
whole school. In the past we have contributed
a wide range of equipment for many of the Departments
within the school. For example IT, sports, reading
equipment/materials to name but a few.
Becoming involved with the Friends
of RAAS is a great way to get to know other parents,
relatives & teachers and become more involved
in your child's school.
We are a very friendly group who
would welcome support & new ideas from all
parents, relatives & friends. We meet once,
maybe twice each term, at school on a Saturday
morning, and would be pleased to see you at any
of our meetings.
We arrange a variety of events each
year including Family Bingo and Race Nights, Fashion
shows, Year 11 Leavers Prom a Summer Ball and
a Christmas Fayre. In addition we provide the
refreshments stall at the Annual Sports Day.
We always hold a social evening
in October to give new parents an opportunity
to meet.
