Design and the Creative Arts
Music, Art and Drama are all taught
within the school day - and all three have major
significance in the life of the school as a whole,
contributing to the development of confident young
people.
The Music Department, with teaching
and practice rooms, as well as a Music Technology
& Recording suite, is the base for a variety
of ensembles and choirs. The Royal Alexandra and
Albert School makes a wide variety of music and
individual tuition available for musicians of
all abilities.
The Bothy Studio houses Drama classes
as well as regular productions. Pupils have the
opportunity to be involved in performances within
the school and sometimes further afield.
The Art Department offers opportunities
for individual work in many media, including clay
and three-dimensional work. The glorious setting
of Gatton Park is an inspiration for many young
artists.
With two well-equipped workshops
and a Computer-Aided Design and Manufacture suite,
the Design and Technology Department harnesses
pupils' creativity and practical skills.
