The Royal Alexandra and Albert School has an ongoing programme of developments to accommodate increasing pupil numbers, upgrade existing buildings, and develop new facilities. Considerable investment has been made in the School to ensure it can continue to offer excellent educational and out-of-school facilities to pupils. Since 2002, over £5m has been invested in the School.

2010 Sixth Form Annexes Extensions to Alexandra House and Kent House, each with 21 ensuite study bedrooms for Sixth Formers.
  Sixth Form Centre Sunley House remodelled to become the Bernard Sunley Sixth Form Centre, with internet café, computer suites, resource centre and quiet study areas.
2009 New science block and dance studio New science labs, additional classrooms and a dance and fitness studio.
